AAVISHKAR'24 : Innovation Nexus

Event Description:

A cleaning robot competition is competition under the event AAVISHKAR 23. The main motive of this competition is to clean the waste present in any water sources like lakes or rivers. Robots participating in this competition have to clear the waste in the form of slits from the surface of water. These two robots will be competing with each other to collect the slits and reach the opponent base by crossing through different checkpoints. This event is the legacy of Aavishkar.

Rules:

  • The Robots can be controlled through wireless remote only.
  • The use of ready made toys is not allowed but one can use modules or circuits.
  • Power supply should be on board only and the electric voltage between 2 points anywhere in the machine should not be more than 24V DC at any point of time.
  • Participants are allowed only to make (n-2) restarts during the game where n stands for number of checkpoints.
  • The name of the team must be unique and must consist of a maximum of 3 members.
  • In case of any problem in the robot the game will not be replayed.
  • No more AC/DC power supply will be provided at the site of play.
  • Organizers reserve the right to ask for the explanation of the robot. The Organizers can change the rules of the game depending on the situation.
  • Positions of obstacles will be decided by the organizers on the particular day of the event.
  • A team, an individual or a robot that violates the code of conduct can be disqualified from the tournament.


AN IMPORTANT NOTE:

  1. The number of checkpoints the robot has to cross may vary and it is made known before the game starts.
  1. The organizers reserve the right to change any of the rules if necessary and will inform the participants if any rules are changed via Contact number or email.


Gameplay:

  • Two robots will compete in the game arena at a time.
  • Each participating robot has to complete the path within 5 minutes of time.
  • Two robots will have different starting points and will be assigned checkpoints of different colors.
  • Starting point of an opponent robot will be the endpoint.
  • The slits are scattered on the surface of the water. The robot must collect slits on the basis of which points are awarded to each team.
  • The slits may be spherical or cubical in shape.
  • The participant must cross the entire checkpoint before reaching the opponent’s base.
  • The robot must cross the checkpoint to which they are assigned.
  • A checkpoint is crossed if the robot passes through the ring.
  • If the robot needs to be reset, the robot is placed just behind the nearest checkpoint it crossed.
  • The robot to reach the opponent base with more point will be declared winner


Judging Criteria

The team with the higher score after the match is finished will be considered the winner as the team with less points will get eliminated.

Points

  • Deposited Slits = +20
  • Checkpoint = +30
  • Hooking = +50
  • Hitting Opponent Boat = -20
  • Obstacle Bump = -20
  • Hitting or crossing other Checkpoint = -20

Disqualification

  • Any robot not conforming to the specifications provided. The use of radiofrequency that alters the gameplay.
  • The team that is damaging or trying to damage the game field.
  • The team performing any act that is not in the spirit of fair play.
  • The team that fails to obey instructions and/or warnings issued by referees and judge’s decision is considered the final decision.
  • The boat that is modified after the verification during the event.

Certificate Policy

  • Certificate for participation will be given to all the players if their robot meets the requirement.
  • Every winner will get a Certificate of Excellence.
  • Teams that are eliminated from the competition for breaking the rules will not be eligible for the certificate.

These are the prize distributions for Aquabot, where top performers will be awarded:

  • Pool Prize:- Rs, 30,000/-
  • First prize: Rs 17000/-
  • Runner up: Rs 8,000/-
