Kathmandu University Robotics Club in collaboration with ORION Space, Nepal is now formally embarking on a grand mission – the development of a real nanosatellite to be launched into space. The project work will be guided by Prof. Dr. Ramesh Kumar Maskey, Associate Dean of the School of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Bim Shrestha, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Rakesh Chandra Prajapati, EPFL, Switzerland and Mr. Abhas Maskey, SNU, Korea. Considering the scale of the project, a strong team consisting of the most eligible, qualified and dedicated members from within the Kathmandu University needs to be formed. The team formation process is now already underway. A written exam will be conducted on December 18 and subsequent interviews will be carried out for which the schedule will be announced later. Students from the Kathmandu University School of Engineering and School of Science are eligible to apply. Third and fourth year students from Mechanical engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Computer Engineering departments are specially requested to apply.
